For how long are GMAT test results valid?

I am thinking of applying to an MBA program and want to take GMAT early. I’ve been wondering – if I don’t apply the same year I take GMAT, will I have to retake it? Or is it valid for several years.
I went through the GMAT website and didn’t seem to find this info. Thanks!

It is five years.

I took them four years before starting my MBA — and they were still good. Two years later, I applied to PhD programs. My GMAT was no longer valid. I had to take new exams (I actually took the GRE because I had a choice).
